Why Wax?

Why Wax?

  1. It lasts longer than shaving.  Hair is removed from the root when waxing so the whole hair has to be regrown before it reaches the surface.  Shaving only removes the hair from the surface of the skin so you get the “prickly” feeling within a day or so.
  2. You cant cut yourself.  Intimate shaving is a workout in itself!  There is many nooks, crannies and crevices to get the razor into  Not to mention all of the different positions you have to put yourself in to get there!  The risk of cutting yourself is high!
  3. It doesn’t ever hurt as much as the first time.  Over time, the hair gets weaker and easier to remove.  With shaving, you don’t ever remove the root so it stays strong, whilst with waxing, the whole root is having to regrow.  Its like removing a full tree with established roots or a sapling that’s not long been planted.   And don’t forget – your first time you will be nervous and not knowing what to expect.
  4. Its cleaner.  Everything we used is sanitised thoroughly after each client.  We don’t double dip with wax, so a clean spatula is used every time we remove wax from the pot. Your skin is sanitised before and after your wax and we wear gloves at all times.  Razors harbour so many germs and virtually impossible to keep clean.

There are two different types of wax that we use hot wax and warm wax.

Hot wax is applied to the skin over a layer of oil that protects the skin, it shrink wraps the hairs and its removed when its dry. Its a much more gentle wax but performs well on strong hair. We use this for all intimate waxing and facial waxing. It removes hair as short as 1mm.

Warm wax is what we use for legs and eye brows. We can also cover a large area quickly. It is applied to the skin and removed with a paper strip. It also offers an exfoliating effect to the skin.

There is So many benefits to waxing over shaving and this is just a few of them.  Leave your hair removal to a professional and you will not look back
